A GolDay guide
How to plan a day with room for work, Torah and life
A long task list does not always tell you what to do next. Start by separating fixed appointments from tasks you can schedule, then decide what matters most today.
1. Capture what you need to remember
Collect tasks, appointments and ideas in one place. Add an estimated duration and a deadline where relevant. In GolDay, tasks can stay connected to a client or personal venture, so your next step keeps its context.
2. Choose by importance and urgency
Consider what moves your work forward and what needs attention soon. Pick a few meaningful outcomes, rather than filling the day with easy checkmarks. Leave room for unexpected work; a fully packed schedule is hard to follow.
3. Protect appointments and personal time
Meetings, prayer, learning and family time take real space in your day. Set them aside before filling the remaining hours with tasks. GolDay lets you plan around personal time and connect Google Calendar for read-only syncing. Review the proposed schedule before approving it.
4. Keep a separate bookmark for each learning track
When you learn several subjects, keep a separate saved position for each: tractate and page, chapter and mishnah, or another useful location. In GolDay, you can add your own learning types and update where you stopped without mixing them into your business task list.
5. Finish with a short review
Review what moved forward and what remains. Update tasks, record your place in learning and choose one important next step for tomorrow. A short review based on what you recorded helps make the next plan more realistic.
